Worked out from each plan's published rate, reading the figures above as one month's work. Subscription plans read Included in the plan rather than a per-document figure: a monthly fee is not a per-document price, and dividing one into the other would need a volume no vendor publishes. A metered plan is priced past its allowance at its published overage rate; one that caps out with no such rate says so instead of quoting a price it would not honour.

Our assessment

Adolix PDF Redactor is a small Windows desktop application for people who need to permanently remove sensitive content from PDFs without uploading anything. Everything runs locally and offline, which makes it a fit for confidential files that cannot go to a cloud service.

Redaction is manual. You select text directly, search for text to redact, or draw a box over any area, including scanned pages and images. The vendor says selected text is deleted from the PDF's content stream rather than covered by a shape, and that drawn areas are redacted at pixel level. Document metadata such as author, creation date and producer can be stripped in the same step, and redacted areas can be shown as grey or as a white box with an outline to save toner when printing. The interface is available in 11 languages.

It deliberately does little else: there is no automatic detection of sensitive data, no OCR and no batch processing of multiple files, and encrypted PDFs must be re-saved unencrypted first. Pricing is simple: a free version for PDFs up to 3 pages, personal non-commercial use, and Pro as a one-time $24.95 purchase with no page limit, commercial use allowed, and volume discounts for several licences. There is no subscription. The listing was submitted by the developer.
